Caravan to Class builds new Kakondji School

Kamdiar is a village of close to 2,000 ethnically diverse residents in the Timbuktu region, Cercle of Dire, Commune of Dangha. This is Caravan to Class’ second school construction project in the Commune of Dangha and we are very pleased with the support from the head of the Commune, village elders and parents. The school is a brand new 3-classroom + hallway welcoming cement structure with metals doors, windows and rood, fully furnished with desks, chairs, and chalkboards. The major donors for this school were recognized by name in a plaque that is found at the entrance of the school. The school was completed in January 2016.
The Kakondji school construction project was completed on budget for $43,677.
