Bourse Jackie English Language Scholarship Program

For Women From French-Speaking Africa

We are excited to announce the expansion of Caravan To Class beyond the borders of Mali, in West Africa, and into the rest of French-speaking Africa to provide the sane life-changing opportunities to a select group of deserving young African women. 

Together with our partner, BT Institute of Accra, Ghana we have launched our second Bourse Jackie program: Bourse Jackie English Language Scholarship Program (for young women from French-speaking Africa). We have just selected our first Cohort of scholarship recipients. They will receive 6-months of English language training, room & board and transportation costs all paid under our Bourse Jackie program. 

The response for our first call for applicants was strong: 134 applications from 10 French -speaking African countries. Through a rigorous selection process, we chose our five inaugural scholarship recipients from four different African countries: Burkina Faso, Guinea, Ivory Coast and Niger. They will travel to Ghana next month to bring their intensive English study. 

I am proud to see Caravan to Class help a special group of young women realize their dreams in a program which honors my late wife.
