A Dream Come True For Women Who Are Doing Just That… Making Dreams Come True
The Bourse Jackie program is helping to educate future female leaders by providing them with life-changing opportunities.
This past month three young Malian women were in the U.S. on significant scholarship or organization-funded programs. For two of the three it was their first time in the United States, a dream-come-true for them. These women no doubt will go forward helping lead others to achieve their dreams.
Fatouma from our 1st Cohort of scholarship recipients was selected as a Madeleine Albright Young Women Leaders Program recipient and at the University of Delaware with other young women from Africa for six weeks.
Fatoumata who was recently hired to run the Bourse Jackie program (and designed our Women’s Leadership program) was selected as a Mandela Washington fellow and is at the University of Michigan for a two months education program on women advocacy.
Doussouba Caravan to Class board member, responsible for oversight of our Bourse Jackie program was invited to attend the Aspen Open Ideas festival and was on a panel her first day along with other women involved in non-profit work.
Our Bourse Jackie program really is changing lives and helping to create women leaders.
