“I was very happy and felt very lucky to have had the scholarship. In two years I will see myself realizing my greatest passion, which is to better improve the conditions for the preservation of the environment in Mali. And in 5 years, a great businesswoman in the field of logistics and transport. Because my greatest wish is to contribute to the development of Mali. The Jackie Scholarship is the best opportunity that has allowed me to achieve my goals. I am proud of the Jackie scholarship and ready to serve her in return."

“I am a former beneficiary of the Bourse Jackie scholarship, cohort #1, and today the new Program Assistant. It was very beneficial in my life to have this scholarship and I am proud now to be a part of the team. Malian society has a ways to go as far as equal rights for women but it’s up to me to fight and not give in to pressure and to succeed. I am grateful to Caravan to Class for helping young women like me to lead successful lives in Timbuktu.”

“Learning that I had won the competition. I don't know how to describe it to you; I felt an explosion of joy in my heart, incredibly indescribable. In 5 years, I would say that I finished my studies thanks to the Jackie scholarship, that I got a stable job with a salary up to the wish To be an enterprising and independent woman."

“Being in Ghana as part of the Bourse Jackie program has been such a wonderful thing that happened in my life. It hasn’t always been easy but I have learned a lot from this. I know for sure now that as a woman I must be independent and this experience in Ghana, aside from learning English, has taught me that.”

“What a life-changing opportunity I was given by Caravan to Class to go to Ghana to study English as part of the Bourse Jackie program. Living in Ghana has been a great test for me and opened my eyes to what it is like to leave your comfort zone. I miss so much in Mali but have learned to be content with what little I do have at home. I know this experience in Ghana has changed my life and I am still trying to understand what I am going to do with this experience but I have many ideas.”

“Once selected, my first reaction was a feeling of great pride in myself. I said to myself, Fatouma, this scholarship will change your life, as I knew it was the beginning of a long, very rich adventure of learning. I know for the rest of my life that the Bourse Jackie Scholarship will be stamped on every one of my future accomplishments.”
